Safe to say I have ‘done’ DC! This morning was filled up with a trip to the Holocaust museum, which was interesting but not really my kind of thing to be honest. After that, we took a lunch time trip up to the top of the war monument we’ve been using as a landmark all our time here.

From the top, we could see all of DC and two neighbouring states too.

As for tonight, I had a walk down the Main Street of Washington one last time and tried some ice cream from a diner-looking place called Larry’s. All I could think after eating a huge scoop of cookie dough ice cream was… This isn’t doing my skin any good!! Hopefully the tan will counter-act it a bit though!

On to Philadelphia tomorrow. Goodbye Washington!
